Kuma’s Quick Shots #21: Khaz and Destruction Luster

Happy New Year, everyone! Welcome back to Quick Shots: the album review column where I dissect the latest offerings from the scene to help you determine what’s worth listening to.  This month, I have two EPs to that embody very different aesthetics within the scene.  The first is an endearing cross pollination of pop culture that feels slightly tongue-in-cheek.  The second is a more serious attempt at capturing the glorious nostalgia of a niche within PC gaming that is often overlooked. These albums both succeed at capturing the attention of their intended audiences, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t take the time to showcase them properly.  So let’s not waste anymore time. Chip Bit Sid Takes On: Pixeltune – ‘For A While’

For my first official review of the year I’m going back to an album from 2016 in Pixeltune’s latest album ‘For a While’! Pixeltune is an incredibly sophisticated chiptune artist who focuses in using extensive LSDJ layering & programming as well as including other elegant sounds through the use of digital effects and computer keys.

Hoodie Highlights… his own mental health.

Sup y’all? =) President Hoodie here with, uh… no interview this month.

That’s right. I’m taking the month off from my Hoodie Highlights interview column post-MAGFest for my own mental health. haha

That said, there’s probably some of of you that have been reading my interviews over the last few months wondering why in the world I’m doing a mental health focused series in the first place.
