¡Hola a todos! Aquí Paul del dúo francés de Chiptune Pain Perdu.

Algunos de ustedes tal vez conozcan nuestro canal de Youtube, donde he hecho varios video-tutoriales acerca de algunos aspectos técnicos del LSDJ que, en mi opinión, a veces son mal entendidos, ignorados o poco utilizados. En términos de ergonomía, potencial para hacer música en bruto y qué tan fácil es que la gente pueda acceder a parámetros que garanticen un control extremadamente minucioso sobre el sonido; LSDJ es un programa fantástico. De hecho, a mi parecer destaca como el secuenciador que alcanza un equilibrio casi perfecto entre complejidad y accesibilidad. El que sea presentado en el Museo Sueco de Música y Artes Escénicas es un logro bien merecido.

Chiptunes = WIN: Volume 6 [Tracks 41-51]

Hello all and welcome to the last leg of the Vol. 6 track reviews. One great thing with Chiptunes = WIN’s yearly mainline Volumes: the overall quality is so high and consistent, you’ll never feel like the compilation loses momentum at any point, even for the very last tracks. On the contrary. On this truly STELLAR Volume 6, some of my absolute favourites are actually part of the last ten! And I was lucky enough to review them. Let’s dive in! “La main à la pâte”!

Paul’s Tech Talk – Introduction: ‘Turning a page of LSDJ History’

Hello everyone! Paul here from the French Chip Duo Pain Perdu.

Some of you may know of our YouTube channel, where I’ve done a few tutorial videos about technical aspects of LSDJ that I thought were often misunderstood, overlooked or underused. In terms of ergonomy, raw music-making potential and how easily people can access parameters that grant extremely minute control over the sound, LSDJ is a fantastic program; in fact it stands out for me as the tracker that strikes the most perfect balance between complexity and accessibility. The fact that it is displayed in the Sweden Museum of Music and Performing Arts is well-deserved.

Chiptunes = WIN: Volume 5 [Tracks 21 – 30]

Welcome back to the cavalcade of Volume 5 reviews ChipWINners! This fine Monday, I’m happy to be taking a deep-ish look at tracks 21 through 30 with you dear readers. This selection includes some of my personally favorite tracks, albeit, at the end of the day all 51 tracks are all pretty examples of raw chiptune talent.
