Happy November, folks! For this month’s interview, I talked to a multi-instrument & multi-alias chipmusican & event curator friend of mine. This cat’s done quite a bit over the last handful of years (even more than I realized!), and shows no signs of stopping any time soon!
Welcome Lars Shurilla aka The Laohu/Immortan of SLC Chip!

Hey y’all! =) For this month’s interview, I’m reprising a 2014 blog chat that I had with a very talented Norwegian friend of mine whose music you’re very likely familiar with. Unsurprisingly, the man has accomplished more than enough in the four years since then to warrant yet another sit down with me here on the blog.
Everyone welcome back to the blog, Vegard Kummen aka Kubbi!
Not entirely sure what’s going on here, but it sure makes for a pretty sweet picture.
Hey y’all! =) Been a spell since I published an interview here on the blog; the final quarter of the year rarely shows me any quarter. haha That said, I’ve a really good one to kick off 2018! Featuring a cat that’s been involved in and around chiptune longer than probably most of us, and in various ways: composing his own music, performing live, modding gear, and managing various communities. Everyone welcome to the blog, Timothy Lamb aka Trash80!
Sup y’all? =) Following up last month’s fantastic conversation with stig, I’ve another thoroughly engaging read for you good folk with yet another silly talented friend of mine (how do I find myself surrounded by these amazing people anyways, geez….).
If you’ve been in or around the chiprealm for a good few years now, you’re very likely familiar with Boston chip duo BR1GHT PR1MATE. Then again, if you’ve just gotten into it all in the last year or so, maybe not so much. This is largely because the talented team of James and Lydia Primate have both been deeply involved in the creation and development of a very unique indie game called ‘Rain World‘, which just released via Steam and Playstation. Today’s interview features an in-depth convo with James about his work on such. Really good stuff once again. Read on below.
Sup y’all? =) President Hoodie here bringing back my Hoodie Highlights interview column after a couple months off. Even I get a break every now and then, right? (^_−)−☆
For my return to the blog, I’m bringing both a very special guest in Alexander Brandon, a name that needs little to no introduction in and around our collective of collectives, as well a new focal point for at least the next few interviews I’m conducting: mental health.
It’s a very important topic that I feel we don’t discuss near enough publicly, especially in and around our scenes, which are brimming full of creative, often unique individuals. There’s a pervasive cultural stigma regarding mental health, and it’s one that needs to be done away with posthaste. Talking about it more often is one way to help facilitate that.
Sup y’all? =) President Hoodie here with the final 2015 edition of my interview column, Hoodie Highlights! Wrapping up what has been a really fun series of discussions throughout the year, I’m chatting with another do-er of all the things, Christian Blunda of Groupees! Read on to learn a bit about the organization behind all of the magical music & gaming bundles. Enjoy!
