Hello and welcome to another edition of Intense Tech! This lesson will be about some kick techniques which I have previously covered in a video tutorial but will also expand upon in greater depth here. After reading this lesson, you should have a good handle on how to use DRUM or FAST tuning with instrument P/L/V settings in version 6 to create any kick to suit your needs. I’ve also included a save file at the end of this lesson so you can play around in version 6.9.0 on your own. Let’s dig in!

Fortunately, I have a platform where I can have opinions regardless of how right or wrong I can be (thanks, Internet! <3), so without further ado, it’s time to jump into the first track on my list to cover!

Glenntai Got: Business Pastel

2018 has been a good start for chipmusic, and we can easily thank those who released music in the prior year for that. 2017 had some very high-key releases that managed to overshadow many others due to their surge in popularity and the quality of their music being nothing short of top-notch. As a community this is a great “problem” to have, but from an individual artist perspective it can be very tough for new or less-popular acts. If you haven’t listened to it yet, you might accidentally have slept on Business Pastel’s self-titled debut album, which deserves the attention of anyone in chipmusic that enjoys dance music with vibes of electro, future bass, d&b and hints or suggestions of other genres.
